"I had major heart surgery in August 2003. As a result, I am on a blood thinner (Coumadin) for the rest of my life. In April of 2004, I was diagnosed with two herniated discs in my lower back (L3 and L4). Surgery will be my last resort because of the high risk of paralysis due to being on the blood thinner and having any kind of spinal surgery. I was limited in what I could do because of the sharp pain that would shoot down my leg during any type of physical activity. The condition continued to deteriorate to the point that I had to have my daughters push me around in a wheel chair so that I could complete my Christmas shopping. This became a humbling and embarrassing situation for me. This is not the way I wanted to live my life. I was about to succumb to the risk of surgery when I suggested to my primary care doctor that maybe a chiropractor could give me some relief. I will admit that I was very skeptical about this but I wanted to try every avenue of treatment short of surgery. Much to my surprise my doctor was very supportive of this. Her only restriction was that she said I needed to go to one that was up on the latest forms of treatments. She suggested Dr. Dean. I started going to Dr. Dean Chiropractic in February 2005. I was still skeptical but willing to give it a try. On the first visit I watch a video on "The Activator." I still could not see how such a painless procedure could solve my problems. Dr. Dean told me that he felt he could help me and seemed confident that in doing so. So I started my treatments.
I was amazed at how fast it worked for me. In just a few visits I was able to walk without the pain and I had experienced previously. When I started I could barely walk 300 yards without being doubled over from the pain going down my leg. I was now able to walk over 2 miles pain free. I have had 6 knee operations and had come accustomed to the aches and pains. They are now history. Dr. Dean is truly my "Miracle Man." "I am 73 years old and I've had back problems with pain down the back of my leg for some time. Dr. Dean's treatment worked very well. My husband also has back trouble, a sciatica nerve and arthritis of the shoulder. He was in so much pain but the pain is almost gone. The arthritic shoulder caused him so much pain he couldn't lift his arm but after just 2 treatments, he can raise his arm above his head.
